It is unrevealed when this Clown began his criminal career, but he clearly enjoyed taking lives. Interested in nothing but money and mayhem, he agreed be part of a villainous gang led by Zodiac. When the Clown wasn't involved in his own criminal exploits, he was an integral part of Zodiac's plan to gain access to a semi-secure H.A.M.M.E.R. facility, so Zodiac could kill the only man investigating all of Zodiac's crimes. The Clown took his payment and was ready to call it quits, but Zodiac charmed his way back into Clown's life, explaining he knew Clown was using his brother's former identity. Unsure of his associate's motivations, Zodiac said he made a better Clown than his predecessor.
