As an Asgardian, Iric Brorson possesses mystical powers and he uses them at every opportunity, especially if there’s an imminent threat. He often attacks first and does not ask questions later.
Asgardian-Born
Son of Bror and Amora, AKA Enchantress, and hailing from Asgard, Iric and his twin brother Alvi are magically gifted, bound to forge their own path at the Strange Academy for the mystically-inclined in New Orleans. During the Academy’s orientation when another student arrived, Iric saw him as an evil minion of Dormammu and stepping in front of his brother, he attacks him with a magical blast from his hands. The “minion”, who is fellow student Doyle Dormammu, defends themselves but one of the teachers at the Academy puts a stop to the fight and reminds them that they will all have to get along no matter where they come from or who their parents might be.
Energy Projection
Iric projects magical energy from his left arm which appears to be brandished with a tattoo. Being from Asgard, he retains all the typical physical traits of an Asgardian, such as superhuman strength and durability.
Family Ties and Foes
Iric isn’t one to make friends right away at the academy when he sees everyone as an enemy, like Doyle Dormammu, son of the Dread Dormammu. Though his teachers room him with Doyle to teach him how to be a better team player.
Upon first meeting Doyle, he becomes protective of his twin brother Alvi, and jumps in front of him to attack what he believes is an impending threat. Doyle returns the attack with one of his one, but their fight doesn’t last long as they’re stopped by Jericho Drumm, AKA Doctor Voodoo. Iric’s assigned to share a room with Doyle and expressed he would rather room with his brother. The pair have a tense relationship where Iric often bullies Doyle, but Doyle takes it in stride.
Iric’s Chronology
On a tour of the Strange Academy, Iric gets roomed with Doyle Dormammu which he expressed displeasure with. When the tour nearly finished, Doctor Steven Strange, AKA Doctor Strange, arrived while battling a monstrous creature and required the students assistance. Iric blasted the beast with his magical energy projections while insulting Doyle Iric and all the students defeated the beast and listened to Strange give them a semi-dire welcome speech that ends on a “try not to die” note.
On the first day of classes at the Academy, Iric showed up late to Illyana Rasputina, AKA Magik, and Daimon Hellstrom, AKA Hellstorm’s Inferno 101. He made quite the entrance, calling his tardiness disrespectful and goaded Magik as if she wouldn’t do anything about it. She immediately sent him to Hell. Shortly after Iric’s arrival, his roommate Doyle appeared and together they battled hellish creatures using their magical abilities, and surviving. Iric called Doyle names and didn’t want his help. Though they make it out of Hell and back to the Academy, the first thing Iric does is ask for food.
