Little is known about the young teenage girl named Ana Kravinoff who, along with her mother, planned to get revenge on Spider-Man (Peter Parker), for the death of her alleged father, Sergei Kravinoff, the original Kraven the Hunter. After trailing him for weeks, and witnessing him in action against the minor criminal Fracture, Kraven tracked Spider-Man back to his apartment. Despite her research, she mistakenly assumed Parker's police officer roommate, Vin Gonzales, was Spider-Man. To ruin Gonzales, she wiped out his bank account and framed him for murder, resulting in his suspension from the NYPD.
Kraven kidnapped Gonzales and forced him to wear the Spider-Man costume found in his apartment. She then brought him to the underground lair of Vermin, and upon his arrival, Vermin attacked the intruder. Vin was injected by Ana with a Mutant Growth Hormone (MGH) to restore the super powers she assumed he had, but in doing so, Kraven only helped Vin to escape. He was eventually recaptured and hunted through the underground tunnels. While searching for Vin, the real Spider-Man borrowed a costume from Daredevil and ran afoul of Vermin, who led him to the tunnels. Parker and Gonzales held off Kraven until Vermin returned with an army of rats, and attacked her which allowed both men to escape.
Remorseful for her failure against Spider-Man, Ana brought the defeated Vermin home, where she and her mother continued to plot against the wall-crawler.
