Biography

Across alternate realities, the mercenary Deadpool merges with the alien symbiote Venom to become a deadlier and more muscular merc with a mouth full of jagged teeth and signature flicking tongue.

Venompool Across the Multiverse

In alternate reality Earth-615.9, Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool, is hired by Galactus to kill the omnipotent space deity Beyonder in exchange for the Continuity Cube, which would give him relevancy and popularity. Given a device known as the Retcon Expungifier, Deadpool would be able to erase the Beyonder and change history. But once Deadpool meets the Beyonder, he gets wrapped up in the being’s swanky party and presence, until their fun is interrupted by Spider-Man in a symbiote jumpsuit. Beyonder’s friend shoots Spider-Man, releasing the symbiote, which attaches itself to Deadpool. He becomes Venompool replete with increased muscle mass and viscous symbiote hair in the form of Jheri curls.

At another time in another reality, specifically Earth-616, Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool, merges with the alien symbiote, who would become known as the Venom symbiote. The creature is on the run to escape a bounty hunter, so Deadpool offers his protection services to his newfound form-fitting friend and gets spider-powers to boot from the symbiosis.

Symbiotic Relationship

On his own, Deadpool is a skilled mercenary, but when merged with an alien symbiote as Venompool, he becomes much more ferocious and deadly, taking on a bloodthirst that’s typical to the Symbiote race.

The symbiote itself is composed of a viscous protoplasm that grafts itself as a second skin onto the Deadpools from alternate realities, using them as a host from which they absorb memories, traits, emotions and DNA to complement their own incomplete DNA. The symbiote also endows Deadpool with claws, fangs and a prehensile tongue, as well as superhuman strength, agility and endurance. Furthermore, the symbiote offers a shapeshifting ability that allows the host to change their size and shape.

For some alternate reality Venompools, such as Deadpool-616, the symbiote first grafts itself to Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man. As such, the symbiote takes on some of Spider-Man’s traits, such as the ability to shoot webs and swing through the air.

Violent Ends

In trying to make a name for himself, Earth-615.9’s Venompool knows no bounds, killing several of his world’s heroes and villains as well as crooks.

Earth-616’s Venompool goes up against bounty hunter Killer Thrill, the White Rabbit, Sergei Kravinoff, AKA Kraven the Hunter. He even has an internal battle with his viscous ally, the symbiote, that ultimately tears them apart.

Violent Delights

While Venompool-615.9 is hired by Galactus to take down the Beyonder, he instead shares a relationship with the entity for many years of merriment. It’s not until the Beyonder ditches him that Venompool takes up his old contract and aims to slay his once beloved Beyonder.

Venompool-616 allies with the Power Pack and Felicia Hardy, AKA Black Cat, against their enemies.

Venompool: Earth-615.9

In reality Earth-615.9, Venompool was abandoned by the Beyonder, and thus his attracting magic wore off and left Venompool able to return to his senses. Venompool discovered through fellow partier Iron Man that he sold the Retcon Expungifier while under Beyonder’s trance-like presence. Feeling used, he saw an opportunity in Iron Man and sold him to A.I.M. to gain some cash.

To become a real somebody, Venompool then sought out allies but everyone rejected him, including the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the Defenders. Frustrated, he traveled to the nearest bell tower and the bong of the bells apparently freed him of the evil symbiote.

Still calling himself Venompool, his efforts to violently take down crooks by slaughtering them did not garner him the attention he wanted. So he joined a game of secret wars, fighting against heroes, but quickly realized it wasn’t really his gig. He departed only to discover the symbiote lingered as Carnage Curl, a woman with similar curly hair, who caused much mayhem in his life. Determined to take down the Beyonder, he tracked down the shop where he pawned the Retcon Expungifier and bought it back. Venompool soon invited Beyonder to a party and confronted the being, who brought Carnage Curl with him.

Venompool ended up on a dramatic TV show with the Beyonder and Carnage Curl and in confronting them, Carnage Curl revealed she’s pregnant with the Beyonder’s child. Though Venompool was devastated, hoping he and the Beyonder would get back together, they were all soon interrupted by Galactus, who intended to take his revenge on the Beyonder for giving him a M.O.D.O.K. butt. Venompool used the Retcon Expungifier against the Beyonder and Galactus as they fought, preventing his reality’s destruction and finally making himself relevant. He received all the attention he desired, but it’s not enough, so he killed a bunch of his world’s heroes and villains who were taking the spotlight away from him.

Going to therapy with Doc Samson, Venompool learned that he needed to grow, and used the Retcon Expungifier to erase himself and his reality.

Venompool: Earth-616

During the Secret Wars, Earth-616’s Spider-Man merged with an alien symbiote, which took the form of a black costume, and eventually became Venom. But before that eventuality, Spider-Man rejected the symbiote, leaving the creature adrift and hunted by a space bounty hunter named Killer Thrill. The symbiote found Earth-616’s Deadpool and in merging with him, sought his help. While dodging the bounty hunter, they shared adventures, like helping the Power Pack against the Zn-rx, an alien race fixed on stealing super-powers, and aiding Black Cat against the White Rabbit. Throughout these adventures, however, Deadpool started losing control over his symbiote pal.

Meanwhile, Killer Thrill was hot on their collective tail and soon targeted Deadpool’s friend, Spider-Man. Venompool successfully defeated KT by biting off her arm, leaving her to flee. But Venompool was soon overcome with further bloodthirst and nearly went after Spider-Man with the intent of eating him. Deadpool wasn’t interested in that and struggled to control the symbiote, a conflict that literally tore them apart. The symbiote, now alone, went after Spider-Man, but Deadpool stood in its path and prevented the symbiote from having its next meal. The symbiote ran off, leaving Deadpool alone once again.
