For over 50 years, Spider-Man has been a sensational standout in the Marvel Universe and the web-slinger swung onto the silver screen once more in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and will do so again in Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” in 2018! In celebration of his memorable history, we present Spidey’s spectacular step-by-step story, picking up from where our 31st installment — focused on 1993 — left off!

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man scored a victory against the Jury in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #385, fought alongside the Shroud in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #208, and enjoyed a day at the beach with Sandstorm and Quicksand in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #108. He later topped it all off with a Night Thrasher team-up in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #109, as well as one with Iron Fist in SPIDER-MAN #42 and SPIDER-MAN #43.

The Vulture escaped from prison again in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #386 to seek a cure for his cancer, but wound up stealing Spidey’s youth in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #387. After a mystery involving Mysterio in SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #4, the wallcrawler landed in the middle of a revolt in the Foreigner’s assassin’s guild in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #209 and SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #210. WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #110 revealed the Lizard’s drive to return to the Everglades, a situation that brought Spidey together with Warrant to investigate in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #111.

The Hobgoblin’s small army of drug dealers wreaked havoc in SPIDER-MAN #44, while elsewhere Peter Parker’s supposed back-from-the-dead parents reported to the Chameleon in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #388 and lost their lives in the process. Enraged by their deaths, Peter flew into action to search for the villain in SPIDER-MAN #45, fought Tracer in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #211, followed the Chameleon to Kraven’s castle in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #112, and sought revenge upon him in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #389.

Following a battle with the Fox with help from Johnny Storm in SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #5, Spidey dropped into the middle of a war between Demogoblin and Hobgoblin in SPIDER-MAN #46, tried to stop Demogoblin’s subsequent prison break in SPIDER-MAN #47, and witnessed Hobgoblin’s new powers in SPIDER-MAN #48. The Master of Vengeance returned in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #212, but in all honesty the webslinger found himself more at odds with Typhoid Mary in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #213, and Bloody Mary in SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #214.

Gambit and the Black Cat vied with Spidey versus the Silencers in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #113, but when Façade killed Lance Bannon in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #114, our hero raced to save Betty Brant from the mysterious armored figure in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #115, and faced Façade for a final fracas atop the Bugle building in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #116. Shriek called out to our hero once again in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #390, and kidnapped Carrion for nefarious purposes in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #391.

Spidey decided to give up his identity as Peter Parker in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #392, just in time to face off against the combined villainy of Carrion and Shriek in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #393. Later, he joined forces with Thunderstrike to stop Hydro-Man in SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #6. Vladimir Kravinoff, the son of the late Kraven, sought to gain his father’s unique abilities in SPIDER-MAN #49, and subsequently sought Spider-Man’s demise in SPIDER-MAN #50.

Following some soul-searching in SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #7, Ben adopted the identity of the Scarlet Spider in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #118, battled Venom in SPIDER-MAN #52, took his lumps in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #119, and eventually succeeded against the symbiote in SPIDER-MAN #53.
