Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals

What characters were you excited to see on the roster?

"Definitely Luna Snow. The fact we are able to see how her light ice and dark ice being represented fully in battle is amazing!" —Danny Koo, Executive Producer, Product & Creative

"I have been most excited for the world to experience both Namor and Iron Fist! These were two picks on the roster I feel bring a different flavor to the gameplay as well as Marvel as a whole, so to see the world gravitate to them has been phenomenal" —Dakota Maysonet, Creative Development Manager

"Squirrel Girl is my jam! I was super excited to see her on the roster and get a chance to work on her design. She is one of my favorites and to be able to share her with the world is absolutely amazing. I’m also a huge fan of Jeff because he is the absolute cutest. Going simple in the design was tricky, but it always comes to trusting the process." —Dan LaDuca, Associate Art Director

What moment were you proud to celebrate?

"From the day we announced the game till launch, every single major beat is a sight to behold. 10 million players in 72 hours is not easy feat at all given the state of the games industry currently." —Danny Koo

"That’s a difficult question but I guess the most major beat has been launching and seeing the absolutely massive amount of players try out the game. 10 million players in 3 days is astronomical and has really wowed me." —Dakota Maysonet

"Truth be told, this is San Diego Comic Con when we walked on stage for a panel presentation and showed not only our art, but our new narrative trailer to the world. Being able to share this moment with our fans had fulfilled a childhood dream. As a kid who grew up reading Marvel Comics and playing video games, it dawned on me that I was given the opportunity to create something that ten-year-old Dan would be proud of. That’s a pretty powerful feeling." —Dan LaDuca

Any favorite crowd reactions?

"The savage and adorable Jeff the Land Shark swallowing everyone in the game and spitting them out into the abyss." —Danny Koo

"The memes of course! Everything that pokes fun at Iron Fist and Jeff the Land Shark tickle me pink. When you become famous, you take the good with the bad. Other than that, I’ve also loved seeing players find the little Easter Eggs of love, like the character signatures, and showing their appreciation for them." —Dakota Maysonet

"This must be the launch trailer since we had a particular goal in mind of creating an anime opening that felt like an anime TV series. There’s this reaction that most people have as they recall a nostalgic feeling of some Saturday morning anime that brought them so much joy! That’s what I love to see!" —Dan LaDuca

What announcements are you most hyped about for what's coming next?

"I can’t wait for players to see what we have in store for them for Winter Festival." —Danny Koo

"I can’t wait for players to see the upcoming seasons that we have coming up! There’s so much cool stuff that’s happening behind-the-scenes that will blow audiences away!” —Dakota Maysonet

"Oh man, we have been cooking! I am super excited about the narrative surrounding Season One. Fans have plenty to be excited about and that makes me even more excited. We still have plenty of work to do but it’s going to be worth it. You all will see!" —Dan LaDuca

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC Launch

Marvel's Spider-man 2 Upcoming PC Launch

"Being at the October 2024 NYCC announcement for PlayStation, Insomniac Games and Nixxes, in collaboration with our own Marvel Games team, bringing our third game in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, to the PC audience was a delightful event. Hearing the fans cheer as they reacted to the announce trailer, and witnessing their deep knowledge of the Marvel characters in our critically acclaimed game during the audience Q&A, brought a sense of joy and pride in the timeless Super Hero video game our teams worked so hard to create." —Eric Monacelli, Executive Producer, Product & Creative

Marvel Fortnite Season

"My favorite Fortnite Season moment must be when Doom finally achieved his goal of harnessing Pandora’s Power and emerging from the cataclysm as God Emperor. Not only was it just an awe-inspiring and frankly just super cool moment, but it also perfectly represented the syncretic way we’ve partnered with the Fortnite team. It took a lot of hard work and trust to so perfectly blend the two brands together such that we could create a fantastic, genuine experience for both Marvel AND Fortnite fans." —Tom Tao, Senior Product Development Manager

Marvel Contest of Champions 10th Anniversary

Marvel Contest of Champions 10 Year Anniversary

"Before Joining Marvel Games, Marvel Contest of Champions was the first mobile Marvel game I played and got hooked on. So, imagine my enthusiasm when it became a title I have the privilege to work with. Seeing the fan base for this game embrace it for 10 years is no small feat. Having been side by side with them during Battlerealm Brawl really showed me how passionate they are, that we are delivering the experience they love. With zero signs of slowing down! I’m excited about what’s to come starting with the new character Isophyne. I’ve been excited all year for this character and what they mean to the Battleream. Get ready! The foundations of the Contest will forever be shifted, Summoners!" —Christopher Williams, Associate Product Development Manager

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics

"The release of MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was an absolute highlight for me this year. Having gone from playing these titles religiously as a kid, to working with Capcom to re-release them in this amazing collection was a dream come true! Experiencing people’s reactions to this title made all the hard work worth it. I remember spending days after the announcement in June just watching people freak out over these games coming back. I don’t think anyone was expecting it. Now that it’s out, I’m excited for fans to re-experience these games and share them with the new generation!" —Brian Marquez, Associate Product Development Manager
