Funeral For A Fiend
As the only two survivors on Titan after Thanos' snap, Nebula and Iron Man worked together to get the Benatar up and running, but they only made it a short distance before the craft nearly ran out of power. The pair entertained themselves with paper football, but could not fix the ship. With just hours remaining, Nebula helped situate Stark so he could watch the stars as he passed away. Instead, Captain Marvel found them and brought the ship back to Earth where Nebula and Rocket shared a mournful reunion.
The surviving Avengers intended to find Thanos, get the Infinity Stones back and use them to return everyone who had been snapped away. Nebula knew all about his plans including a place called The Garden where he would make a home afterwards. The heroes found the place and flew there in the repaired ship, but they were stunned to find that Thanos used the power of the Stones to destroy them. Nebula believed him and received a long-craved compliment from her father figure before Thor cut the Titan's head off. Before returning to Earth, Nebula closed her father's eyes.
A Heist For The Ages
Nebula and Rocket eventually returned to space where they did their best to respond to threats and distress calls, while also keeping in contact with the Avengers on Earth and Captain Marvel who was also out in the cosmos. Five years after Thanos' death, the Avengers devised a plan to grab the Infinity Stones from the past and use them to bring everyone back. The two remaining Guardians returned to Earth to help out.
Nebula assisted in making the time travel suits and also explained that the Soul Stone resided on Vormir. Nebula traveled to the past with War Machine, Hawkeye and Black Widow. Natasha and Clint dropped the other two on Morag before flying to Vormir. While waiting with Rhodey, Nebula explained that they were waiting for Star-Lord who had the right tools to steal the Power Stone, but also that versions of herself and Gamora were working for Thanos to find the Stones at the same time. Nebula and War Machine succeeded in knocking Quill out and grabbing the Power Stone. Rhodes returned to their home time, but Nebula remained in the past because of some strange cybernetic feedback.
Time Crimes
The past version of Nebula was still fiercely loyal to Thanos and competitive with Gamora. Word had just arrived that the Power Stone was located on Morag when Nebula projected a strange transmission from future Nebula. Further investigation from Ebony Maw revealed that the transmission came from another Nebula using the same network. Learning about future Thanos' triumph on Earth as well as his death, the Titan ordered his ship, Sanctuary II, to Morag. Ebony Maw's digging lead to the feedback experienced by future Nebula that kept her in the past. When she woke back up, she attempted to get word to Hawkeye and Black Widow, but was nabbed by the villains.
While held captive, the modern Nebula attempted to convince her younger self to abandon Thanos and his plot. Instead, the Nebula of the past stole her future self's identity and her Pym Particles and used them to take her place in the present. While the others put together the new Infinity Gauntlet and returned all of the Blipped people, Nebula opened the time platform so that the Sanctuary II could fly through and attack the Avengers, destroying their compound.
Proud of his Nebula's efforts, Thanos sent her to retrieve the Gauntlet. Meanwhile, the Nebula from the present convinced the Gamora of the past that they eventually grow to become like sisters. They then began working together against Thanos. The pair encountered past Nebula who had taken the Infinity Stones from Hawkeye. Their pleas for her to switch sides fell on deaf ears. When past Nebula made a move to attack, present Nebula shot her seemingly dead. Nebula and Gamora then lent their talents to stopping Thanos, which ultimately succeeded when Iron Man donned the Infinity Gauntlet and snapped the attackers away.
Back And Better Than Ever
Reunited with the rest of the Guardians who returned to fight Thanos, Nebula and the others mourned Tony Stark before leaving Earth with a new traveling companion: Thor. Together they went on many adventures and even welcomed Kraglin and Korg into the group. Thor and Korg eventually left to confront Gorr the God-Butcher while the Guardians helped those already dealing with his murderous actions.
The Guardians decided to make a more permanent home for themselves and purchased Knowhere. They worked on getting the place back in shape after Thanos destroyed much of it years before. As they neared the Earth holiday Christmas, Kraglin explained Peter's love of the holiday. The tale urged Drax and Mantis to go to Earth and bring back his hero Kevin Bacon. Meanwhile, Nebula got back to work repairing Knowhere. She did help decorate the place when they returned from their mission successfully. Peter appreciated the sentiment initially, but was none too pleased that they kidnapped Kevin Bacon and manipulated his mind. Mantis got him back to normal and the actor ran off, but Nebula caught up with him and turned him over to Kraglin for a return trip home.
Bacon agreed to stick around and celebrate Christmas with the people of Knowhere for a time. During the gift exchange, Nebula gave Rocket Bucky's arm. She also received a piece of homemade art from Groot featuring the Guardians. Nebula appeared to enjoy the celebration surrounded by her chosen family.
